Weinberg Finance Partners continues to expand its presence in the private equity sector with the launch of a dedicated co-investment fund, WFP Co-Invest. This fund, with a capacity of £130 million, is fully subscribed by a family group, demonstrating the strong confidence investors have in Weinberg Finance Partners.

Weinberg Finance Partners renews its image

Weinberg Finance Partners unveils a new and resolutely modern visual identity. Harmonious and restrained in style, the new design guidelines and logo reflect the company’s move to become an integrated investment and asset management company with expertise in multiple areas.

Weinberg Capital Partners' ESG approach once again rewarded by the PRI

As part of the 2021 PRI rating exercise, Weinberg Finance Partners obtained 4 out of 5 stars with a score of 67/100 in the “Investment & Stewardship Policy” category and 77/100 in the “Direct – Private Equity” category.

2020—

WFP Impact Dev#1 is awarded the Relance label

The WFP Impact Dev#1 fund has been awarded the “Recovery” label – a mark of recognition for funds dedicated to channelling fresh capital into the growth and resilience of UK businesses. This label highlights the fund’s commitment to supporting the equity and quasi-equity financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies, whether listed or privately held.

Weinberg Finance Partners earns the highest score of A+ in the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) assessment for 2020.

Weinberg Finance Partners renews its image

Weinberg Finance Partners launches its Impact expertise with the creation of the WFP IMPACT DEV#1 fund.
Its target: profitable unlisted UK SMEs and mid-sized companies whose products or services address social, societal, or environmental challenges.

Adoption of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a reference framework for all the company's expertise.

2017—

New vehicle for real estate investment

Weinberg Finance Partners has announced the launch of WFP Green Living Fund, a new OCPI real estate fund dedicated to acquiring and developing next generation assisted living communities across the UK. Exclusively available to institutional investors, the fund aims to invest in environmentally certified, tech enabled facilities that promote independent living for seniors while integrating low carbon infrastructure and community based healthcare services.

2016 —

Strengthened ESG governance

Weinberg Capital Partners establishes its ESG Committee. The aim is to develop ESG initiatives across the company.

2013 —

Award-winning real estate performance

Weinberg Finance Partners’ Real Estate team has been recognised in the United Kingdom for its outstanding results, receiving the award for the Best Performing Balanced Fund over a three year period at the European Property Investment Awards. This honour highlights the team’s proven ability to deliver consistent and high quality performance across diverse real estate markets.

Further strengthening its position in the UK and European markets, Weinberg Finance Partners has expanded its operations through the acquisition of Captiva Capital Management, launching a dedicated third party real estate asset management platform.

2011 —

A key step to expand responsible investment

Weinberg Finance Partners adopts the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) backed by the United Nations.

2009—

Weinberg Finance Partners creates its Real Estate team

Weinberg Finance Partners is the exclusive adviser for the first Weinberg Real Estate Partners fund (WREP#1).

Weinberg Finance Partners has signed a governance charter for private equity investors, aligning with industry best practices in the United Kingdom. The charter, inspired by leading European standards, aims to promote transparency, responsible investment, and constructive engagement with legal and regulatory bodies, including commercial courts.

2007 —

Beginnings

Matthew Weinberg establishes Weinberg Finance Partners, an independent asset management firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The firm is dedicated to supporting UK-based SMEs and mid-sized companies during periods of growth, expansion, or ownership transition, with a particular focus on buyout opportunities.

Weinberg Finance Partners subsequently launches its first majority-controlled mid-market LBO fund in the UK, WCP#1, reaching a final close of approximately £360 million.
